Ebule is a 10 year-old Masai. He lives in the deserts of Kenya. His family leads a traditional way of life in a tiny village, where the houses are made from dried mud. Ebule is in charge of looking after the family’s herd of sheep and goats. Every evening, he herds them into their pens. He also helps with milking the animals. It’s a very important job, as the milk is their only regular source of food. Ebule and the other young Masai warriors practice shooting arrows with a bow. They use them to protect the herd. Ebule also lends his mother a hand with preparations for his little 6 month-old sister’s naming ceremony.
