The Case of the Witch Who Wasn't

A young girl from the big city, Florence, goes to spend a summer in the country as the guest of Melanie, her longtime pen pal whom she has never met. Florence, convinced her summer in the country will be uneventful and boring, and Melanie, a sucker for all the lost causes in the neighbourhood, are inspired by Antoine de Saint-Expupery's ''Little Prince'' and decide to befriend a mysterious old lady who is seen as a witch by all the other children. When the old lady's jewels and her beloved bay pig are stolen, the two girls decide to play detective. Suddenly, their summer is filled with action and intrigue as they lead a band of kids on a mission to solve the crime and save the old lady from a fate worse than death - being shut up in a old folk's home.
